Our web team here at Hi-Spek have put together a small help guide for using our Website.

Browsing

If you are a first time visitor or user, please browse using the product category buttons on the left hand side of the home page or you can select product groups by clicking on the images on the home page.

Search Function

If you know the exact model number of the product you are looking for, then type this into the search box detailed on the home page.

If you are looking for a range of products, e.g. Sony Camcorder or Panasonic Televisions, then type these words in the search box.

Certain manufacturer codes carry dashes or other punctuation marks which cannot be recognised by the search function.

You can also search just by the prefix of a product, e.g. KV, this will bring up all products on our database that have this prefix.

Information

There are various tabs that give you details about Hi-Spek and the services offered. The frequently asked question tab which is also useful if you have not shopped with Hi-Spek before.

Order Processing

Once you have chosen your products, these can be added to the basket at any stage and this basket will be maintained throughout your session on the website. Items can be deleted by selecting the relevant icon.

Accessories

You will notice that details of accessories can be found by selecting the relevant button and items that are offered free of charge, e.g. TV Stands/Speakers, will be shown against the main item.

When selecting an item which has free of charge accessories, then these will come through into the basket automatically.

Checkout

Once you have chosen your products and you now wish to purchase, pushing the checkout button brings you to the address verification form. If you are a first time user on this website, then a voters roll check will be carried out. This can take up to one minute to process but ensures that goods are delivered to the correct address and eliminates any address inaccuracies which would only result in delaying your order.

If you are an existing user and have shopped on Hispek Online before, then simply enter your log-in name, this is your e-mail address and your password that would have been sent to you after the first time that you purchased on our website.

Upon verification of the order, a form will be displayed detailing your full address, hit the continue button to proceed further.

This will bring up a summary form which details your full address and all the items ordered including a confirmed delivery date.

Delivery Dates

The delivery date shown is the earliest possible delivery date. If you wish to change the delivery date click on the date given and this will bring up a calendar. We do not deliver on weekends or on public holidays.

Credit Card Processing

Hit the proceed button, this takes you to our secure area where credit card details are taken and processed.

Once again, this could take up to a minute to process as various checks are being carried out to ensure that cardholder details are correct an up to date.

Confirmation of Order

Once a credit card is authorised, a confirmation of order screen is detailed showing all items ordered and the delivery address.

This can be printed off and kept for future reference, but an e-mail is also sent confirming the same.

Change Password

After verification of your address, an email is automatically sent to you detailing your system generated password and username (your email address). The user name can not be changed, however you are able to change your password by selecting the "Password" label in the right hand column. You will be requested to enter your existing password followed by entering the new password of your choice.

Order Progress

Upon visiting the website subsequently, you can "log in" using your user name (your e-mail address) and password and visit the history page, this will detail all orders that you have placed with Hi-Spek Online. Where the status is open order, this means that goods have not yet been despatched. Where the status is invoiced, this means that goods have been despatched and are on route to you.
